Wolter Consulting leads consortia of consultants that are partnering with Cairns Regional Council to envisage the city and its growth by 2050. Based on the development of 12 technical studies that underpin the study, The growth strategy will challenge current practices and assumptions, through extensive consultation and collaboration to ensure their future generations have a framework to address the range of increasing Macro economic and environmental issues, whilst protecting and preserving the unique lifestyle and surrounding world heritage listed environmental wonders. Growth within the region has numerous challenges, with WGC currently investigating Housing supply, affordability and choice and Environmental and climatic hazards and reinforcing good planning and settlement principles.
